Mother's Day in Paris

Yesterday morning I went down to the hotel cafe to get some coffee only to find out they stopped serving coffee (or customer service for that matter) at 10a.m.. So I walked over to the hotel next door and met the nicest Parisian, or we could say "Purr-Isian ".
He was so friendly! He greeted me with a very sincere "Bon Jour"! We exchanged pleasantries and parted company so I thought. He followed me into the hotel! I tried to explain to him that he couldn't be in the hotel. Once I realized that there was a language barrier between us, I had to utilize my charm and coax him out of the hotel. Should have let the cat stay in the hotel and reek havoc because they weren't serving coffee (or customer service) either!
We finally got our coffee at the Charles de Gaulle airport. We took the airport shuttle from our hotel to the airport then took the metro (subway) to Paris. This picture was taken on the metro (yes, you can bring food onto the metro and yes that's a croissant!).
Our destination, Notre Dame...in honor of Mother's Day, of course!

Magnificent, doesn't even come close to describing it! I felt like Wayne and Garth, from "Wayne's World " ,that I should be on my knees in supplication chanting, "We are not worthy!" Actually, I have felt that way this whole trip to Paris!

We have to check out of the hotel now, meaning I will loose my wifi . Will post more when we get back to Michelle's house .

  1. Wow! The architecture alone is worth the trip, not to mention the croissants! I can't imagine how it must feel to be standing next to the Notre Dame cathedral! 765 years old, amazing!!!
